Earn extra money without quitting your job

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

If you are trying to make a big change, trying to earn extra income or trying to find a new source of income during challenging times, then a hustle can help you build a foundation to move on to something else. If you love your day job, that’s great too. A side hustle will provide a creative outlet and a backup plan and most important it can create the joy of something you enjoy doing!

Whatever the reason, you need a hustle of your own!

Remember to keep it fun! Starting a side hustle helps you start your own business with out making a huge commitment or taking a huge risk (like quitting your day job). It will also teach you how to look at your future differently. It will teach discipline. It will create a sense of accomplishment. It can create freedom!

How do you start one? Well, first and most important is to start thinking differently. And then just jump! You need to start quickly, probably before you’re ready!

Start brainstorming ideas. Ideas are EVERYWHERE. Don’t just take any idea. You want something that is enjoyable and is profitable. Have a look at OSG as an opportunity.

Learn. You might not get it all right from the start. And that is okay, learn as you go along. We have something to say about that in Our Compass. Go from idea to action. Don’t get stuck on ideas and planning too much. Putting ideas into action will truly unlock opportunities.

Invest in yourself. You don’t have to spend much money. Read, listen to podcasts. Read posts here at DNA: Our Compass, Useful Ideas and Business Hacks. The most important thing: time. Spend 15 minutes a day working on your hustle, even if it is just writing ideas down and then ask yourself questions about your ideas. Then pick one!

Some good reads on business in Our Compass. Please have a look. Next we’ll post some thoughts on low-cost resources that can help you with your side hustle.
